Admissions

Your child’s journey to an Ambleside education.

We are so glad that you are considering admission to RMCA for your child. After you have explored our website, visited the school, and asked any questions of our admissions staff, we warmly welcome you to apply.

STEP ONE: Fill Out an Inquiry Form.

Please fill out this Request Information Form. We will contact you within a business day to schedule a tour.

STEP TWO: Create an Account (button at the bottom of this page)

To fill out an application, you must first create an account with FACTS, an online platform that is used for submitting applications and supplemental forms, enrollment, and tuition.

STEP THREE: Fill Out Application Form

Upon FACTS account creation, you will receive an email containing a verification link. Once your email address has been verified, login to your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.

STEP FOUR: Prepare to Submit Forms

You will be asked to submit supplemental forms and requirements through FACTS, including:

  • Your child’s standardized test results (applying for Grades 2 and above) and report cards for the past two years.
  • A Student Recommendation Form, completed by your child’s current teacher, or an adult who has worked with your child over a period of time in a group situation (if kindergarten or home schooled).
  • An application fee of $125 per student.

STEP FIVE: Shadow Day and/or Assessment

You will receive confirmation via FACTS as you submit each of the above requirements. Once we receive the required documentation mentioned in #3 above, we will work with you to schedule a student shadow day and/or assessment at the school.

STEP SIX: Reading

Purchase and review one book of required reading for parents (available for $15 at the RMCA School office, or online at Amazon or other booksellers):

For the Children’s Sake, by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay

Parent Questionnaire, to be completed in tandem with above reading.

STEP SEVEN: Parent Interview

Following the student assessment you will be contacted to schedule a parent interview, during which time we will discuss the required reading, provide feedback on the student assessment, and answer any remaining questions. We ask that both parents (or legal guardians) participate in the interview.

DECISION AND ENROLLMENT

Following completion of the above, letters of acceptance will be sent out. Qualified applicants will be considered based on space availability and optimal classroom mix. If a particular class fills, accepted students may be placed in a Wait Pool and parents will be informed.

If accepted, secure your child’s space by returning the signed enrollment agreement, which will accompany your acceptance letter, along with the $500 non-refundable enrollment deposit per student, which will be applied to tuition for the upcoming year.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY: Rocky Mountain Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. RMCA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, sex, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, hiring policies, scholarship and financial aid programs, or other school-administered programs.
