Your child’s journey to a Rocky Mountain Christian Academy education.

Admissions

Your child’s journey to an Ambleside education.

We are so glad that you are considering admission to RMCA for your child. After you have explored our website, visited the school, and asked any questions of our admissions staff, we warmly welcome you to apply.

STEP ONE: Fill Out an Inquiry Form.

Please fill out this Request Information Form. We will contact you within one to two business days to schedule a tour.

STEP TWO: Tour

Tours are scheduled throughout the week with Mr. James Price (our Head of School) and Mrs. Stacy Lind (our Principal). We prefer students are not present for the initial tour, as they will have a time to visit the school later in the process.

STEP THREE: Parent Consultation

Parents will spend about 45 minutes in the classroom with Mrs. Erica Schaefer (our Director of Instruction).

STEP FOUR: Application

Upon FACTS account creation, you will receive an email containing a verification link. Once your email address has been verified, log in to your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application. There is an application fee per student.

You will be asked to submit a Student Recommendation Form, completed by your child’s current teacher, or an adult who has worked with your child over a period of time in a group situation (if kindergarten or home schooled).

STEP FIVE: Student Assessment

Once you have applied, we will work with you to schedule an assessment at the school. Assessments are scheduled with teachers, and parents may wait in the office.

STEP SIX: Parent Reading

Read one book of required reading for parents. You may order online or ask for a copy at the Main Office.

For the Children’s Sake, by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay

Parent Questionnaire, to be completed in tandem with above reading.

STEP SEVEN: Parent Interview

Following the student assessment and reading you will be contacted to schedule a parent interview, during which time we will discuss the required reading, provide feedback on the student assessment, and answer any remaining questions. We ask that both parents (or legal guardians) participate in the interview.

STEP EIGHT: Student Shadow Day (optional)

An optional step for students is to attend a shadow day with their class. This can be a full day or a half day. Reach out to the admissions team to schedule this day for your student(s).

STEP NINE: Decision and Enrollment

Following completion of the above, letters of acceptance will be sent out. Qualified applicants will be considered based on space availability and optimal classroom mix. If a particular class fills, accepted students may be placed in a Wait Pool and parents will be informed.

If accepted, secure your child’s space by completing the online enrollment agreement, along with the $500 non-refundable enrollment deposit (which will be applied to tuition for the upcoming year) and $500 supply fee per student.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY: Rocky Mountain Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. RMCA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, sex, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, hiring policies, scholarship and financial aid programs, or other school-administered programs.
